Project Overview
A packing list should reflect what is inside each carton. We built and operate a system that connects the packing floor, the QC house and the paperwork through barcode scans. Android handhelds capture each piece, while factory, QC and admin portals manage the records. Operators can scan offline and sync when a connection returns. The factory portal turns those scans into packing-list PDFs; a second scan at the QC house checks packed goods against received goods. Rescanning invalidates the previous list, and duplicate-piece checks identify the cartons that need attention. The product has been in production since 2020. Logs from 31 May 2025 to 7 August 2026 record activity across 32 suppliers, 50 scanning devices and 3,886 contracts, with 15.3 million supplier scan uploads and 5.3 million QC scan uploads. Upload counts include retries, so they do not represent unique items.
